The online Basic Crop Protection course provides an overview of the crop protection industry and aims to set a minimum standard for people active in the industry.

Employees of companies that operate in the crop protection industry

Pest Control Operators

Producers, farm managers and farm workers who have a good command of English

New entrants to the crop protection industry (students, first time employees, job seekers etc.)

The course has been structured in such a way that a student can enrol at any time during the year and complete the course at his/her own pace, providing it is within a 12-month period. The course is entirely online, therefore a student will need reliable internet access.

The current fee is R8625 incl. VAT per student and is payable online via Netcash.

Important: This course is the same course that is sometimes referred to as the AVCASA course, however, the entity AVCASA no longer exists and is now CropLife South Africa. Due to this change, the course is no longer AgriSETA accredited.
